Molly Reeves Realty to donate 10% of profits to the Susan G. Komen Foundation News Release11/13/08
Heath Gooch, owner of Molly Reeves Realty, has teamed up with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®
to help find a cure for Breast Cancer. Gooch has pledged to donate 10%
of the profits of Molly Reeves Realty at the end of each year. A
friend whose family was greatly affected by the disease was the
inspiration for Gooch's decision.
Citing sales in September of almost $3 million, Gooch said he feels
confident he will have a nice amount raised when he makes his first
donation in December 2008.
In 2007, Race for the Cure® netted almost $1 million, 75 percent of
which funded Mid-South early-detection and awareness projects, while 25
percent helped fund national research programs through the Susan G.
Komen corporate office.
Corporate sponsors like Molly Reeves Realty provide Susan G. Komen for the Cure with an opportunity to reach out to
a variety of audiences with important breast health and breast cancer
information and to raise funds to support breast cancer research,
education, screening and treatment. In addition, the initiatives
provide corporate supporters an opportunity to make a positive impact
on the fight against breast cancer—and involve employees and consumers
in the cause.
